We met up with my husbands parents and sister and her family this week at Savill Gardens. The bears had a lovely time with their big cousins.

Well Mr Bear turned 3 this week!, how is my youngest 3 years old?! We didn't have a party as I think we will wait till they are 5 before they have formal parties. In the morning we found a pub with a garden and a bouncy castle, this was actually because there was a beer festival going on which sounds a bit inappropriate for a 3 year old but it was nice. We then visited one of their favorite playground which had a water jet play area built so that was perfect. In the afternoon we had my parents round and ate Mr Bear's favorite meal and presented him with the bulldozer cake that my husband spent the previous evening making. I think he had a good day :o)
Chelsea Physic Garden
Hi,
I recently went out to work for the day. This doesn't sound like any big deal I know but in the 4.5 years since my daughter and son have been in the world I have been their full time carer and although I have done work here and there it's always been on weekends when their Dad can look after them or evenings when they are in bed. Last week however, Nick took the day off work and I left the house at 7am got the train into London and worked a full working day and oh my goodness did I enjoy it! It helps that it was the loveliest job ever- taking photos at Chelsea Physic Garden. Even if you are a complete plant dunce like me I would recommend a visit to this little oasis of calm amidst the hubbub of central London. I was mainly their to photograph the children visitors but I also took some landscape and staff portraits, here are a selection!

Hi,
Chalking with Daddy and chalking Daddy this week whilst I practiced with a lens I hardly ever use.
Something about that little hand on her Daddies cheek touches my heart.

Hi,
No pictures of Mr Bear this week sadly. It's weird, despite it being the summer holidays and therefore me seeing more of the bears than ever, I see to be finding it hard to get these weekly images done.
This week, the bears and I did a recce for a potential Christening gig, lady bear was a surprisingly willing model for my test shots!

Hi!,
We went camping with the bears for the first time ever this week. It was only for one night and it felt like quite a lot of work for that amount of time but the bears had a ball!
Here are some photos from our evening hanging out at what was the prettiest campsite I have ever been to.

Hello,
Just a couple of shots this week as I have been preoccupied with taking photos of other peoples children!
Here are the bears 'helping' me make rice krispie cakes! At one point I had my back turned to them and when I turned around they their faces were covered in chocolate, "Have you been eating the mixture?" I asked "No" they both chorused innocently, they are not so good at lying yet...............I guess I should enjoy that whilst it lasts!

Four seasons in one photoshoot
Hi,
I took photos of this lovely family this week and Mother Nature certainly decided to test my ability to think on my feet as a natural light photographer. We had heavy cloud, sun, sun + rain and light cloud all in the space of an hour and a half! Luckily the rain wasn't too heavy, the parents were super upbeat and cooperative and these little girls were troopers so I managed to get some cute photos.

Mr Bear: He has really got the hang of his balance bike lately but his (rather large) head has outgrown his helmet so he's wearing mine till he gets another one! Also I finally cut his hair this week, obviously this isn't the best image to showcase that!
Lady Bear: We took a walk in Ripley this weekend and found this meadow of yellow flowers, it's a shame it wasn't a sunny day but at least they are a sunny colour!

I took a lot of pictures at our estate BBQ (here) this week and of other peoples children but sadly hardly any of my own, however, when I started Project 52 in 2016 I vowed to keep it honest and the photos had to actually be taken on that specific week. So, fairly slim pickings this week!
Mr Bear: Love this little man................needs a haircut though! Three separate people referred to him as my 'daughter' this weekend!
Lady bear: Getting more and more difficult to get a decent photograph of this one as she practices her silly faces as soon as the camera comes out. My husband tried to get a nice photo of the three of us- this was the result!

60's BBQ!
The estate I live on celebrated it's 50th birthday this week and so in honor of it being built in 1967 we decided to have a 60's themed summer bbq.
To live here I think you have to have an interest in 60's modernist architecture and also probably have a love of mid century interior design so to persuade the neighbours to go one step further a dress accordingly for a day wasn't too hard.
Here are some pics I took:

Hi,
Crazy hot this week so we didn't do anything major, just hung out in the garden and the like.
Mr Bear: Excited about our strawberries which are the only thing I successfully grow!
Hanging out by the pond
Lady Bear: Oddly this is her favorite photo of her that I have ever taken 'because I look like a mermaid don't I Mummy?"
Hanging out over the common, I had to record that double chin as it's the only bit of toddler chub on her now
