A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Laura Stoner-New!

I am a lifestyle photographer with a passion for capturing candid and genuine moments in natural light

I have a degree in Fine Art and actually wrote my dissertation on the subject of family portraiture

I have previously worked in design and illustration for children's book publishing.  I have also packed fruit in a fruit packing shed but I don't boast about that job so much

I live in Surrey, UK but am willing to travel

I have two children of my own whom I generally refer to as 'the bears', I honestly don't remember how this started!

I genuinely find that real beauty often lays in unexpected places

Mine is not a tale of a woman, a camera and love at first sight. First and foremost I am a lover of images, I have worked out the technical stuff to achieve the pictures I want to make

I love a good comedy shot, a daft expression, a cheeky nose pick and I will always include it in the final images I deliver to you, can't resist it, sorry!

A little bit about how I work

My goal with my photography is to capture genuine and authentic moments

My favourite time of day is the hour before sunset and I always try and nudge you towards having your photos taken then

I am very open to any ideas you may have regarding your shoot, unusual location desire?- fine!, Want to include your pet in your shoot?- absolutely!

Formal and posed is not my style, I believe that the best images only happen when everyone is relaxed and comfortable

I welcome silly behavior on a shoot- tickling, raspberries on necks, swinging toddlers around and throwing babies into the air, providing you catch them of course!
